Repensando la muerte

La muerte, la pensamos poco, aún aquellos de nosotros que estudiamos Heidegger y bien sabemos que sólo se vive auténticamente cuando conscientemente adoptamos el ser-para-la-muerte... Lo opuesto es vivir en el activismo, sin conciencia de nuestra finitud, sumergidos en cualquier quehacer que nos ocupe, sin dejar tiempo para mucho más.  Dada la importancia que tiene ser conscientes de nuestra finitud, les comparto este excelente  episodio, Rethinking Death, del programa TED Radio Hour, producido por NPR, la radio pública nacional de EEUU (NPR) que justo toca este tema a través de entrevistas a varios presentadores que han destacado el tema en TED Talks.

Meaning seeking as grounding for our reality

This article of Maria Popova, "The Confidence Game: What Con Artists Reveal About the Psychology of Trust and Why Even the Most Rational of Us Are Susceptible to Deception" is a highly recommended exploration on our natural disposition to making meaning, how it affects our process of "knowing" and some logical implications for what "reality" is.  I have been following Maria Popova for a while, finding some of her compilations, and/or articles, to be, more or less interesting or well stringed but this one is very good.  The title betrays a bit the value that I found in the content but it did succeed in getting me to read it, and so I hope it does for you!  Thanks Maria Popova for sharing your insights with us!
